About Gamealia

Gamealia is a free web games portal. Every game runs right in the browser, on a phone or a computer, with no downloads and no sign-up. You can play alone or with friends: many games have online rooms you join with a code or an invite link. The portal is available in 32 languages.

Who makes the games

The games are made by independent studios and developers from around the world, and some by the Gamealia team. Each game page shows who made it, how to play and how many players it supports. Developers publish their games on Gamealia and earn a share of the ad revenue their games make, with no exclusivity: a game can also be on other portals or on the developer's own site.

How games are reviewed

Before a game, or any update to it, goes live:

  1. An automated browser test opens it on a desktop and on a phone, checks that it loads, that it can be played and that it fits the screen, and runs security checks.
  2. A person plays it and reviews it against our content rules: content suitable for all ages (no sexual, adult or hateful content, no extreme graphic violence), an honest listing, no outside ads or trackers inside the game, and no real-money purchases.

Players can rate every game with a thumbs up or down. Games that break these rules are removed.

Ads and privacy

Gamealia is free because of ads. They are shown by Google AdSense in clearly marked spaces around the game, and sometimes before a game starts or as a short break between levels, never in the middle of play. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent message asks first, and if you say no you still play, with non-personalized ads. You can play without an account; an account only adds cloud saves, friends and invites. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and why, and our Terms of use set the rules of the service.

For developers

If you make web games (HTML5, Unity WebGL, Godot, GameMaker, Construct or any other engine that exports to the web), you can publish them on Gamealia and keep 60–70% of the ad revenue. See Publish your game and the developer docs.
