In-game purchases (roadmap)

There are no in-game purchases on Gamealia today. In v1 games earn only from ads, and the policy forbids shops with real money, in-app purchases and "remove ads" buttons (the reviewer rejects them; the autotest warns about them). Items you would sell can be earned by playing, or unlocked with a rewarded ad.

This page describes the plan, so you can design for it. It may change, and none of it is available yet.

The plan

  • Gamealia is the merchant of record: it handles payments, taxes and refunds. Players pay through a checkout overlay owned by the portal; the game never touches payments.
  • You define the items (SKUs) per game in the developer portal: id, name, price, consumable or permanent. Items are reviewed.
  • The game calls something like Gamealia.purchase.buy(sku); your backend grants the item after checking the purchase with the player's token or a signed webhook; consumable items are marked as used.
  • Only signed-in players can buy. Refunds and chargebacks revoke the item and reverse your share.
  • Purchases get their own revenue share, separate from ads, in the same ledger, with provider fees shown.

Until then

  • Keep the game fully playable without paying for anything.
  • If you come from CrazyGames, SDK.store.isAvailable is false and the Xsolla token is null in the shim, so a store that checks them stays hidden.
